I found this picture..




And it seems very fitting. People who haven't stood shoulder to shoulder with someone on a deployment don't really understand how completely irrelevant sex, race, ethnicity or sexual orientation are.

  2. People don't get it. I've deployed with and without women. I had a yound lady work for me that all but admitted she was gay. Never bothered me. What does bother me is how it's become so political. If we could keep that out of it we'd be fine.

  3. I think the problems will arise in garrison. While deployed, everything gets put to the side and the focus is entirely on the mission (at least for those who are actually doing it, Fobbits are excluded from this stateemnt).
